This season’s coffee mood leans into that kind of layered influence. A brewing tradition, a serving style, a flavour palette, all meeting somewhere new. Some serves stay light and floral, others carry that deeper, spiced Mediterranean profile, but all of them are rooted in the same idea: coffee as both ritual and expression, shaped by where we are and where we’re inspired by. If you want to explore a few of these at home, I’ve linked a handful of my favourites below.

Spring can be a time for new habits, including movement, so make sure you're prepared with good coffee beans at home and a blender (my avocado iced smoothie is perfect for pre- or post-gym workouts). And for a taste of spring in a glass, there’s a special margarita sunset in my book Coffee Creations that perfectly captures the season’s essence with the lightness of tequila, sweetness of agave and subtlety of coffee that floats on top of the drink like the sun. Plus, it's adorned with flowers to give a spring vibe. I've noticed lavender and matcha are two ingredients that are really vibing this spring, while brewing with cascara (the outer shell of the coffee cherry) makes a tea-like drink that is deliciously sweet and aromatic as seen here.

Happy brewing!

6 spring coffee serves

Med-inspired spiced iced coffee

A Mediterranean-inspired iced coffee brewed with warming spices and poured over ice, finished with pistachio and a light honey rim, and served with dates – a simple, balanced way to enjoy coffee in warmer weather.

Lavender espresso tonic

If you’re feeling adventurous, try a lavender espresso tonic with a twist: freeze a lavender sprig into ice cubes for a stunning effect.

Pour over

This season, lighter, effervescent flavours take centre stage, with subtle traces of winter’s spices lingering in the background. It’s the perfect time to explore specialty beans through a pour-over, bringing out the intricate floral and fruity nuances in every cup.

Avo iced smoothie

Movement and wellbeing are always in season for me, so this avocado iced smoothie remains a staple.

Iced matcha latte

Supercharge your morning with the health benefits of matcha combined with a shot of espresso for an extra caffeinated and delicious creamy iced latte.

Spiced dirty chai

On cooler days, a spiced apple dirty chai variation still hits the spot.
