What is ghee?

Ghee is a form of clarified butter originating in India. It is made by gently simmering butter to remove all water and impurities but, unlike classic clarified butter, the solids are allowed to caramelise slightly, resulting in a nutty flavour. This process means it has a high smoke point and long shelf life, so it's great for cooking and frying.

Where to buy ghee

Happy Butter Organic Artisan Ghee, £10.78/300g, Amazon
